Abstract

A cross-sectional study was conducted among undergraduate Iraqi students to determine their online and offline internet games from June 2020 to October 2021 utilizing Arabic version of (IGD-20 Test) through google form and 886 students responded from different Iraqi universities. The data analysis based on the use of SPSS version 26. The result indicated that 5.6% of the total sample suffers from IGD. The findings illustrated significant statistical differences among IGD students with three different variables: gender at P-value 0.000, age at P-value 0.016, and economic status at P-value 0.002. The study concluded that about one out of 20 Iraqi undergraduate students suffer from IGD, and male students are affected by IGD about twice as female students. Gender, age and economic status have significant differences with IGD.
